We talked about the engagement describing it as a time of amazement and knowledge, of research and grace. We placed it within that path that goes from falling in love to love and opens to planning for a future full of promise, but also aware of the challenges that will accompany a life together. In this journey we absolutely cannot leave these young people alone; the Christian community must feel discreetly involved and Christianly responsible for how they are living the time of research and preparation for marriage.
