From sign to reality

The vocation to love is an appeal that God addresses to each person and that each one of us can recognize as a deep yearning for his own heart: “He chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him” (Eph 1:4).

It is a vocation that man and woman recognize not only in their hearts, but also in the sexual condition of their bodies, which leads each one out of themselves to meet the other, up to that particular relationship which is the male-female couple: “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body” (Gen 2:24).
