How to turn anger into something positive

Anger is an adaptative response to threat, it is a universal feeling and it arises from how we interpret and react to certain situations such as feeling frustrated or powerless or being treated unfairly, or of people not respecting our feelings or possessions. When a baby displays anger it is often due to discomfort or frustration.

His purpose is to get what he wants. In affective relationships anger can be used constructively to maintain the relationship. In moments of anger some people prefer to repress it or to express it by taking it out on others, yelling or becoming aggressive: for example blowing the horn if someone cuts in front of you, or flying off the handle if your partner if he says a little too much...
