Let us learn from our dogs

I read this reflection written by a veterinarian. While treating an old and dying dog its owner in tears asked him why dogs live less than humans. This lady was locked into her pain but her young son seemed to accept serenely the death of his childhood companion. He caressed him tenderly for the last time and he said: “I know why dogs live less than humans.
People come into the world to learn to live a good life and to love each other. As dogs are born knowing all this they do not have to live as long as we do”. Maybe I could have something to say about this but certainly we can learn important lessons of life from animals... (continue)
