Looking up

Elide Siviero

I have been surrounded for days by people who complain because they are tired: they work too much, they never have a moment to themselves, they feel like they are running around in circles and so on. Sad faces, long faces, a constant grumbling very similar to the murmuring of the people of Israel who, on their way to the promised land, only mumbled that they were hungry, that they were thirsty, that they were tired: they lost all sense of their path, they only bore the weight of the long exodus, instead of enjoying the liberation from the slavery of Egypt.
