New clothes to overcome the crisis

The life of every family is marked by all kinds of crises, yet these are also part of its dramatic beauty” (AL 232). After speaking about the fruitfulness of the crisis and how to read it in the light of the faith, we continue to reflect on this experience. We are accompanied by the words that the Pope addressed to the Roman Curia on Monday 21th December 2020: “I would urge you not to confuse crisis with conflict. They are two different things Crisis has generally a positive outcome or it can open a path of slow death of the couple relationship”. Crisis generally has a positive outcome, whereas conflict always creates discord and competition, an apparently irreconcilable antagonism that separates others into friends to love and enemies to fight. In such a situation, only one side can win. In the couple’s crises and conflicts there are no winners or loser because you can win or to loose together, if one of the two prevails over the other the couple itself is the looser... (continue)
