Old age in different cultures

In our society of 21th century we often tend to perceive the elderly as dependent, constantly in need of help and support in their everyday lives, decreasing the productivity of those who have to work and have no time for themselves and for the elderly.

As we are stressed by the frenetic pace of daily life we often forget that people should become wiser, more generous with age and have compassion for others and give good advice- thanks to their experience and interior peace. We will never approach life in a better way if we attack and deny old age and its limits to ourselves or others... (continue)
