The Son of God did not come down to our earth from the height of his majesty, but penetrated it from below to gather those on the margins and give them the certainty of being children of God Having wrong ideas about God is not harmless: the history of the last century and the recent one show this dramatically. Think of the state atheism professed by Stalinism and Leninism, with the idolatry of the leader and the millions killed, sacrificed to ideology. Think of the neo-pagan Nazism, the madness it generated and the many millions of victims it caused. And before our very eyes are the massacres caused by a fanatical interpretation of religion and the presumed divine will.
