The light of an immense love

In Galilee, half way between Nazareth and the sea of Tiberias rises Mount Tabor, a small mountain that reaches the high of nearly 600 metres and is covered with plants. As it suddenly rises from rather flat surroundings it has always seemed higher.
In Christian tradition Mount Tabor is the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus where he appeared radiant in glory to three of his apostles. Mount Tabor could also be identified as the mountain where Jesus took his apostles after his resurrection to charge them to preach the Gospel to mankind. However none of the evangelists identify the “high mountain” of the scene by name. (continue)
