This way of life fascinates

This month we will read a passage from the Acts of the Apostles that narrates what happened after the Ascension, forty days after Easter and after the Pentecost which took place ten days after the Ascension. When the Apostles were all filled with the holy Spirit they began to speak in different tongues,as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Then Peter stood up, raised his voice, and made a speech that moved all those present. So “Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day” (Acts 2,41). After this verse we begin to analyse the passage that we have chosen: “they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers”.
