One of the precious pearls of Amoris laetitia are the two numbers dedicated to the transformations of love, which cannot have the same nuances of the beginnings after years and years of life together (AL 163-164). The thought goes to a certain very widespread imaginary that describes conjugal love as a crescendo of passion that culminates in the day of the wedding and in the first years of life together and then inevitably and inexorably decay towards repetition and boredom.
