The word Epiphany comes from the Greek and it means “manifestation from above”: in Christian time this great feast (celebrated on the 6th of January) that “takes all the holidays away”, marks the manifestation of the mystery of incarnation. John wrote that The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us and we have seen his glory (John 1,14). Then he says that we have seen, contemplated and touched him with our hands (see John 1,1). It is the celebration of light that brings us to the light and that reveals the great mystery of God who made dwelling among us.
